The Dutch Association of Safety Science (NVVK) is organising the biennial Safety Conference in Papendal, the Netherlands on 29 and 30 March 2017.Tauw specialists are hosting a number of sessions on this theme in plenary and parallel sessions. Annemieke Nijhof, Tauw Group CEO and Chair of the ‘Chemical Safety 2030' steering group, will also explain the five road maps drawn up at the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment.
The programme consists of 5 road maps:
1. Safe investments and disinvestments
2. Integrated implementation of chemical industry policy
3. Transparency and safety in the industry
4. Spatial integration of (petro) chemical clusters
5. A high-quality knowledge system for the chemical industry
The government, industry and science are working together in this programme with the aim of eliminating all incidents in the chemical industry involving harm to citizens or damage to the environment by 2030. Annemieke Nijhof oversaw the establishment of the road maps and is now overseeing the translation of these road maps into concrete work programmes.
