Tauw has signed a contract with GroenBalans for carbon offsetting. This agreement will make Tauw carbon neutral, which means that we will do everything in our power to reduce our carbon footprint and to compensate for any remaining CO2 emissions by buying credits for investments in CO2 reduction projects throughout the world.

GroenBalans offers carbon offsetting through certified rights from sustainable energy projects all over the world, in places where this is needed most. These project create new jobs, improve the local environment and avoid polluting energy developments, such as coal plants. Examples include the Gold Standard wind power projects in China and New Zealand, which are also supported by the World Wildlife Fund.
