Tauw Group BV has strengthened its position in the field of air measurements with the acquisition of Pro Monitoring BV. Both companies signed an agreement on Tuesday 16 January and announced that they will continue together under the name Tauw. Just like Tauw, Pro Monitoring - previously part of Eurofins - is a strong player in the field of air measurements.
Through Pro Monitoring Tauw will gain direct access to new markets, including the agricultural and shipping sectors.
By joining forces we can offer clients even more flexibility and a strong boost in expertise and innovative power. They will receive even better support and guidance in air-related issues, such as emissions measurements, air quality measurements, and workplace measurements. This will enable them to comply more effectively with legislation and regulations and together we can contribute to a sustainable environment.
Roger Stoeltie, Business Unit Manager for Measurements, Inspections & Advice at Tauw, believes the acquisition has clear added value: “The acquisition of Pro Monitoring reinforces our position in the area of measurements and inspections in the European market. Clients from both companies will benefit from the joining of innovative services and products for a clean environment and a viable future.”
In addition to the acquisition of Pro Monitoring, a contract has also been signed with Eurofins for laboratory analyses. Tauw now has two laboratories for providing clients with all the environmental analyses. Alongside the partnership with Eurofins, we will also continue to work closely with our trusted partner Agrolab.
As a consequence of the acquisition, the name Pro Monitoring will be dropped, and the office in Barneveld will close. The eleven employees, including Director Wim Meijer, will join Tauw’s air team. Meijer, who was also actively involved in the projects, will become an air consultant. Meijer: “In the nearly 23 years of its existence, Pro Monitoring has built up close client relations and a wide variety of expertise in the field of air measurements. The expertise and experience of the new team will give an upgrade to the portfolio, and the employees see great opportunities both within the air discipline as well as within the variety of professional disciplines at Tauw”.
