Embracing change
In 2023, TAUW embraced the fast changing world with social, economic and environmental challenges as they also create opportunities to increase our impact.

Ralph van Roessel, co-CEO of TAUW: “I’m proud to say that despite these dynamics, last year we restored the multiyear positive financial trend, largely due to the increasing societal demand for green industry and a vital living environment. We have proven that we respond adaptively to the developments around us, all without compromising our strategy. Especially in the areas of our top priorities, social and environmental sustainability and digital technology and data gathering, we have taken demonstrable steps for now and the future”.

Impactful solutions in sustainability and digital technology
In 2023, TAUW made sustainability both more feasible and tangible. For example, for a leading global lubricants manufacturer company, TAUW drew up a study into achieving net zero emissions by 2050. For a German city, TAUW developed a precipitation model to mitigate the flood risk of the Elbe river through thorough investigation and data collection. And as part of its reinvestment strategy, a major shipping company in France enlisted TAUW to assess risks and liabilities to the operation of one of its production sites and audit the supply chain. TAUW made significant technological investments in the future, including the acquisition of drone specialist GEOzicht to enhance our expertise in data gathering and visualisation. Furthermore, TAUW committed to the UN Global Compact principles, joined the SBTI NetZero Statement, and steps taken last year will ensure that TAUW is fully CSRD-compliant by the end of 2024.

Employees are drivers of success
To realise the ambitions in 2028, TAUW never forgets that the employees are key, always. That is why the company continues to invest in increasing their value by means of training and development programs.

“Our employees are instrumental to ensure continued business success and growth”, according to co-CEO TAUW Group Henrike Branderhorst. “Thanks to their expertise and inspiration, TAUW is able to push boundaries and find continuously successful solutions to the environmental challenges facing our society”.
