Summary

The company, as part of the Due Diligence process in order to decide whether acquiring a commercial center in Spain, required TAUW Iberia an Environmental Due Diligence, an ESG Due Diligence, a Taxonomy alignment Assessment, a Climate Risk Assessment and a CREEM analysis.

As a result of the Climate Risk Analysis, we proposed measures to prevent and mitigate the negative effects of climate change.
Our analysis identified low and moderate risks, but no high risk was considered. The adaptation measures proposed were mainly focused on those most significative risks considered, being heat waves risk and flood risk. These measures were at plot level and at building level.

As an engineering consultancy, TAUW collaborated closely with the investment department to solve any doubt along the acquisition process.
