
TAUW carried out a comprehensive Climate Risk Assessment in accordance with ISO 14091:2021 for an operational pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Italy. The facility is dedicated to the production of contrast agents for diagnostic imaging and operates in a highly regulated industrial environment.
The assessment addressed both physical climate risks and transition risks, supporting regulatory compliance and long‑term operational resilience.
Key challenges included the availability and quality of climate data and the complexity of translating climate scenarios into site‑specific operational risks. In addition, the client required insight into the site’s adaptive capacity, which depended strongly on the engagement of management and technical staff.
