Challenge

Gordon Brothers Europe Management Services Limited provides both short- and long-term capital to clients beyond traditional asset-based lending.

TAUW conducted a Phase I Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) assessment of a company active in the paper industry in the Netherlands. The assessment aimed to identify material environmental issues, focusing primarily on soil and groundwater contamination risks, while also evaluating the business implications of potential future scenarios for the facility. The EDD assessment included a comprehensive documentation review, an on-site visit, and interviews with key staff members.

Solution

Leveraging TAUW’s 30 years of experience in environmental due diligence work for the M&A market, Gordon Brothers Europe received a detailed report of the due diligence findings. TAUW also provided advice on specific areas of concern, such as nitrogen deposition and spatial planning.

Impact

As a result, Gordon Brothers Europe was able to utilize the report and advice to make an informed decision.

Partnership

“We have been very pleased with the service provided by TAUW. The work was delivered within the agreed timeframes, the advice was clear and actionable, and follow-up queries were handled promptly and thoroughly. We would not hesitate to engage their services again in the future.”
