About the webinar

Lindane is an organochlorine chemical and isomer of hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) that has historically been used as an agricultural insecticide and pharmaceutical treatment for lice and scabies. Despite a ban on the production and use of this persistent organic pollutant, the substance is still omnipresent in the waters and soils of some EU Member States.

We would like to invite you to participate in the online round table discussion on the presence of Lindane and HCH in the European Union. Over 200 potentially impacted sites have already been identified in 23 out of the 27 EU member states. We would like to present you the initial results and invite you to help us to locate all HCH sites within the EU.

• Note webinar: attendees are anonymous. The session will be recorded and used for (internal and external) communication and can be made available on request.
• Note break-out session: attendees can choose to be anonymous. The session will be recorded, used only for internal training purposes and deleted after 4 weeks.
